I have worked free-lance in the flower industry for many years, in and around Kent and East Sussex and I am happy to provide all types of flowers from wild flowers in a woodland setting to creating flowers for more formal marquee and hotel venues.
A life-long love of my garden and growing flowers has enriched my approach to the way colour and form combine to bring an exciting palette, scouring hedgerows and meadows (and friend’s gardens) is part of my mission to add diversity of materials to her designs.
Initially, I trained in a locally renowned florist shop after leaving school and swiftly wanted to be able to bring my own thoughts to the presentation of flowers.
Alongside my fresh flower designs for all occasions, including weddings, parties, celebration and bereavement, my work life has also encompassed other areas of flower design.
I was resident florist at Leeds Castle, adding to the beauty of the castle and function rooms with marvellous flowers and plants collected from the estate gardens and grounds but also bringing bespoke flowers to many wedding celebrations and parties held there.
In the 90's I introduced dried flowers as part of my range, drying my own flowers to add diversity to my designs. I am planning to re-introduce dried flowers back into my life later this year .
I am very happy to meet clients at The Old Butchers Shop for an initial, no obligation, consultation offering ideas and a quotation, with follow up meetings at venues, as required, to ensure that every aspect of the flowers for their special day meets expectations and budget.
I look forward to meeting more wonderful couples in 2018.
Also my 2018 Christmas shop (it's fourth year) will be an inspiration to all who visit offering wonderful new festive ideas to decorate your home.
