Sue Davies Flowers & Garden is renowned for her vibrant and innovative approach to flowers, weddings and events. She focuses on using a mixture of foraged, dried, home grown and specially selected flowers and foliage. Sue has been known in Kent and East Sussex since 1974 for her warm approach and abundant knowledge in the field.
Sue began her training at the age of 17 at a local floristry shop and swiftly went freelance from the age of 18. During this time Sue went on to work as a resident florist at Leeds Castle. Here she added to the beauty of the castle rooms by bringing the flowers and foliage from the estate gardens indoors. She also created arrangements for guests, events and weddings.
A life-long love of gardening and growing flowers has enriched Sue’s approach to the way colour and form combines to create an exciting palette. Scouring hedgerows and meadows is part of her mission to add diversity of materials to schemes.
Throughout the years, Sue has opened many seasonal pop up shops and held countless floral workshops. She now runs her permanent studio based in the centre of Sutton Valence. Spring, summer and autumn brings a vibrant hive of activity from workshops to a myriad of gifts and bespoke arrangements. Winter brings the festive season and the shop transforms into The Christmas shop, a magical experience.
