Autumnal colours - Rose & Callum

The intense thunderstorms on the evening before the wedding caught everyone by surprise, the beautiful woodland blessing that had been planned might have to be moved indoors. The bride made the decision to keep with the original plan and hope that it would dry up. As if by magic the sunburnt through, early in the morning and the venue dried in time for the guests to see the dream that this beautiful bride had created!

The floral decor covered the blessing area, adding life and colour to the already stunning clearing in the woods. The Drey’s said that it ‘Took their breath away’! We used themes of ‘autumnal colours’, ‘70s vintage’ and a colour palette of mustard and rusty orange. Mixed with Lianne’s photographic style, that has a film like, dreamy quality to it; I think that we really achieved that feel. I incorporated everything from, grasses and eucalyptus to roses, lisianthus and orchids. Wax flowers were also used because of their symbolism as a wedding flower. Read about it on another of my journal posts by clicking here.

All of these beautifully captured photographs are by Lianne Gray at The Dreys - Woodland Wedding Venue in Kent; The incredible cake is by Vic’s Vegan Bakes; fabulous vegan catering was supplied by Cashew Catering and Taco Truck and all of the styling and table centres where by the best around, Jo!
